Sarah de Rijcke recently received her PhD (cum laude) on different visual ways of knowing the brain, from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. She was a pre-doctoral visiting fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in 2007, and is a member of the Netherlands Graduate School of Science,Technology and Modern Culture (WTMC). Sarah now holds a post-doctoral position at the Virtual Knowledge Studio in Amsterdam, where she participates in the research project 'Network Realism. Making knowledge from images in digital infrastructure'.
